The North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club (Tarmac Section) Ltd has announced with profound sadness the passing of James Walsh, who died in hospital after being airlifted from an event last Saturday following a serious incident.
The club described the news as a devastating loss, stating that the entire motorsport community is heartbroken and mourning the passing of a truly valued member. His death has deeply impacted fellow riders, officials, and fans within the road racing scene, a sport known for its close bonds and shared passion.
Road racing communities often operate like an extended family, and James Walsh is being remembered as someone who was an important part of that family. His passing has left a significant void among those who knew and raced alongside him.
The club extended its deepest sympathies to his partner Claire, his mother Geraldine, his wider family, friends, and fellow club members during this extremely difficult time. They also expressed gratitude to the MCUI UC Medical Team, air ambulance crew, and hospital staff, acknowledging their efforts and dedication in attempting to save his life.
